Summer Fashion Trends TV Segment

I had so much fun talking summer fashion trends on Better KC today!! I picked up some super cute pieces from my local Burlington! I love how affordable it is to shop there and they have so many choices. My love for Burlington could get my wallet in trouble. 😉 Watch the segment below.

Summer is without a doubt my favorite season. This is the time when most of us would be more than willing to spend days outside in the water and enjoying the sunshine. Check out these outfit ideas to help you dress for the summer season. These looks are all from a local Burlington store. Burlington Stores is a one-stop-shop for the whole family with a range of options to choose from. I love a good deal so of course I made the most of my money on these looks and they are all super affordable.

Workout Outfit

When you look good you feel good! The warm weather is the perfect opportunity to get outside and get active. Most people like working out in dark colors. The sweat doesn't show and you already feel slimmer putting on those blacks and grays. To make it fun you can add a pop of color like this neon sports bra. It goes great under this dry fit tank top. Dry fit material is a constant trend with workout wear because it absorbs sweat. And of course we bring it all together with the every comfy workout stretch pants. You can see the netted material on the legs gives your body air to cool down as you workout in that summer heat.

Swimsuit Style

When we think summer, we think swim suits!! Long gone are the days of boring cover ups or just wrapping a towel around you. This embellished tunic from Burlington is only $17 and is a gorgeous cover up. This summer we will see a lot of beads and details. Also, white is always something we see more of in the warm months so I paired this cover up with a cute sun hat. You will be standing out for all of the right reasons in this look.

Summer Dresses

Now, you’ve put in all the hard work getting in shape and you have that summer tan from the pool. It’s time to rock a bold summer color. Bright colors are always a repeating trend in the summer months. I picked up these two dresses from our local Burlington store which is a national off price retailer, offers styles for everyone at up to 65% off department store prices every day. They were both under $30. This pink one is perfect to go from day to night. I paired it with a jean jacket for a more causal look, but you can easily remove the jacket, add some accessories and you are ready for a night out. Here is another bold dress, this orange one is adorable and this lace back is a great way to be trendy without going over the top.
