Tayshia Adams Talks Behind-The-Scenes Of The Bachelorette

The Bachelorette is back! This past Monday was the premiere of season 17 of The Bachelorette starring Katie Thurston. After Chris Harrison’s official departure from Bachelor Nation, former bachelorettes Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe are co-hosting the season.

Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe Back in Bachelor Nation

In the June 8 episode of the Bachelor Happy Hour Podcast, Tayshia Adams talks all about her time behind the scenes of the premiere of The Bachelorette season 17. Becca Kufrin and Tayshia co-host the episode with special guest Heather McDonald.

In The Bachelorette premiere, we see Kaitlyn and Tayshia drive up in a beautiful convertible. They get out of the car and then go surprise Katie.

Recalling night one Tayshia says, “First of all, I wish there were bloopers for that because Kaitlyn and I actually got stuck in the middle of the desert.” Laughing, she explains, “We hit like, a pothole and the car wouldn’t turn back on because it was stick shift.”

Let The Journey Begin

Thankfully, car troubles do not prevent the hosts from arriving to join Katie Thurston as her journey for love begins. Kaitlyn and Tayshia sneak up behind Katie and surprise her while she is waiting to meet her guys for the season.

Tayshia remembers, “It was just so fun surprising her and being able to just like, really hold her hand through this entire journey.”

Tayshia also talks about her and Kaitlyn’s nerves the first night, since this is their first time hosting. She says, “It was just so fun. I mean, her [Kaitlyn] and I were both pretty nervous just because this is new territory for us too.”

Lots of fans appreciate Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe being there for Katie, since they have been through this experience before.

Tayshia comments, “We can actually relate, like first hand that we’ve been literally standing there waiting for limos to drive up, talking to these guys, experiencing those first impressions” before adding, “It’s a lot for one person to handle.”
