Teen Mom’s Maci Bookout Is Speaking Out About Her Son’s Dad, Ryan Edwards’ Rehab Stay

In an exclusive interview with Life & Style magazine, Teen Mom OG star Maci Bookout gives the first update on her ex Ryan Edwards’ rehab stint, where he had been treated for substance abuse.

After secretly tying the knot with fiancée Mackenzie Standifer on May 15, Ryan entered rehab. “We’re all just taking it one day at a time, one step at a time,” she tells Life & Style. “Ryan is doing good. He’s doing what he needs to do and that’s all any of us can ask right now. We’re just trying to make sure he stays focused on himself.”

Maci also tells the magazine that Ryan never has to worry about fighting his demons alone, because “he’s got me.”  Well, that’s some teen love we can all appreciate.

While it hasn’t been easy, Maci admits the reason why she stuck by Ryan’s side was for the sake of their son, Bentley. “It’s definitely been a roller coaster,” Maci tells Life & Style. “But in times like these, if you feel like you are running out of strength, you just have to keep digging deeper.”

And her supportive husband of eight months, Taylor, 28, has stuck by her side through it all. “He’s my best friend and knows everything about me,” she raves of the father of Jayde, 2, and Maverick, 1. “It’s definitely nice to have him there with me to listen to me or to give me advice or to just be present. He is a great, great guy.”
