For those of you who have a long distance best friend, you understand how hard it is to be far away from them. Sometimes you wish you could call them up and grab a coffee, only to remember that they're thousands of miles away.

1. Nobody compares to you, best friend.

Although we end up making new friends after you move away, you're always going to be our #1, even if we don't get to see you every day. When we are hanging out with our other friends, we sometimes think about how they can't compare to you. What's great about you is that we don't have to see each other to have fun. We can text, talk on the phone, or FaceTime. Just remember, no matter how many friends we make, you're irreplaceable.

2. We'll always be there for you.

Even though we can't physically be there for you when you're sick, going through a tough breakup, or feeling down, we will always have your back. Please remember that we are a phone call away and ready to listen to anything that you have to say and that will never change. You will never be a burden to us because we genuinely care about you.

3. We love you.

Just know how much we love you and miss you. We would drop everything for you if you asked. We worry about you, too. We want to know that everything is okay. When we don't hear from you for a couple of hours, don't be surprised if we get worried. It's because we care.

4. When we finally get to see you...

It's one of the happiest days of our lives! Nothing compares to seeing your BFF that you haven't seen in days, weeks, months, or even years! It's always a blast when we meet up again. The best part about you, best friend, is that we can pick up exactly where we left off. However, those days are bittersweet because we know that we always have to say goodbye until the next time week meet again. Tears will be shed and memories cherished once we arrive back home but we feel so fortunate to have been able to spend time with you.

5. Thank you for supporting us.

No matter what we do, you never judge us. You're supportive of every decision we make even if you're totally against it. You are caring, kind, and genuine. You're always the first person we share our good news, bad news, and secrets with. We appreciate you taking the time to always listen to us and give such great advice.

6. Our relationship is selfless.

Long distance friendships are hard work. It's easy to loose touch with someone when you're living in different states. Some people might think that it's easier to give up and make new friends but we have such a strong bond that's unbreakable. We will work to keep this friendship alive because we have grown to love you more than you'll ever know.

7. Reminiscing about the past makes us miss you even more.

We want you to know that we still have all of the letters and gifts that you ever gave us. We also have every ugly photo from middle school taken of us, we just can't part with them. We think about the inside jokes that we shared, the friendship bracelets that we made each other, and the secrets that we only told each other. People may not understand why we hold on to these dorky memories, but we do. It's the closest thing we have to being close to you.

8. I'm proud of you.

Whenever we come across your Instagram or Facebook, we can't help but feel proud of the person that you have become. You have grown up to be such a beautiful, intelligent, and independent woman. We look back at that young girl who wasn't sure of herself and now we see the most perfect you that you could ever be.

9. Some bad days...

The day you moved away was literally one of the worst days of our lives. It was as if our whole world had ended. It was tough adjusting to a life that didn't involve seeing you every day. There were times when we were upset or confused because you left us. At the end of the day, we know that you did what was right for you. We also know that even though you're not physically here, you're not going to leave us, like ever.

10. You are my second half.

I could date a new guy, get married, or make new friends but you'll always be my second half. You are one of the best parts of our lives and we wouldn't change that for the world.
