The Bachelorette: The Men Tell All Recap
Katie Thurston’s men are back! The contestants from The Bachelorette season 17 return for The Men Tell All to dish on their season. Before starting the Men Tell All, we first get to watch some more of Katie’s journey.
Michael A Makes A Choice
Before seeing The Men Tell All, we first see an emotional call between Michael and his son James. Michael feels guilty about being away from his son after James asks why his dad doesn’t want to see him.
Michael feels terrible about being away from James, so he goes to talk to Katie. He tells her that his son asked, “Why don’t you want to see me anymore?”
Michael explains that he has to leave. He says, “I’m not leaving because of us. I’m leaving because my son needs his dad.”
Michael once again gives Katie the pocket watch he handed her night 1. He reminds her how important time is, saying he wished that they had more.
Michael tells her, “You taught me how to love again.” I’m not crying, you’re crying. He leaves and Katie is heartbroken. Still, she understands that Michael is doing what he has to do.
The Bachelorette: The Men Tell All
Hosts Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe introduce the men from Katie’s season for The Bachelorette: The Men Tell All. Right away, the guys are eager to discuss all the drama from this season.
They tart off talking about the Cody and Aaron drama. Cody defends himself saying that the rest of the cast did not get to know him as well. The other guys still think that Cody only went on the show to get famous.
Then the conversation moves on to Karl. He claims that he knew Thomas was there for the wrong reasons. He warned Katie that multiple guys were there for the wrong reasons, and Tre calls him out.
Karl and Brendan both stand up, and Karl gets close to Brendan’s face. After sitting back down, Brendan still calls Karl, “a snake.”
James then mentions how he dislikes Hunter and adds that they butted heads the entire time.
Hunter then says that he did not lie during the drag queen group date. Shea Couleé asked him if he was in love with Katie, and he said no. Then during the date they asked if he was falling in love with her and he said yes. Hunter points out the difference in wording and says he feels he did not lie.
Connor The Kisser
Kaitlyn and Tayshia invite the first guy of The Bachelorette: The Men Tell All to the Hot Seat and it’s Connor. He rewatches his relationship with Katie, from night 1 to their breakup.
It is very tough for him to watch back, and he gets emotional. He talks about how even though the breakup was terrible, he just wanted Katie to be okay.
Kaitlyn then asks him about how Katie decided to break up with him after their kiss. He admits that after he got home, he texted his exes to ask if he was a good kisser.
Then a woman from the audience gets up and tells Connor that she knows he can’t be a bad kisser! She gets up on stage and kisses Connor! She then joins him in the hot seat, and Connor admits that he had been checking her out earlier.
Connor says, “One more for the road” and kisses the woman again before the commercial break. He also takes a rose from the table and gives it to her.
Andrew In The Hot Seat
Next in the Hot Seat is Andrew S! After rewatching his journey with Katie, he talks about how emotional it was. “I’m still waiting for someone to just pick me.” He also says that he can’t pinpoint one moment where things went wrong, because everything was great.
Andrew then praises Katie for how she responded to their conversation about interracial couples.
Michael On His Goodbye
We rewatch Michael and Katie’s amazing relationship, and once again see him say goodbye. He talks about the balance between parenthood and finding love.
Michael also talks about how strong his connection with Katie was. He says that if Katie wanted to give things another shot, he still feels the same way about her.
We also learn that Michael lost the WOWO challenge from a few weeks ago.
Kaitlyn and Jason’s Engagement Story
Kaitlyn Bristowe is engaged to Jason Tartick and we get to watch their proposal! Jason surprised Kaitlyn by proposing on her podcast, where they first met.
The video is adorable and it is so sweet watching them react to it in The Men Tell All.
The Bachelorette Returns
After talking to just the guys, Tayshia and Kaitlyn bring out our Bachelorette Katie Thurston! The guys take turns sharing their thoughts with Katie.
Tre thanks her for boosting his self confidence, and Aaron tells her that he will always be in her corner. Katie mistakenly says, “Thanks Thomas” to Aaron and it’s hilarious.
Also, Connor sings one final song to Katie about how much he loves the guys from the season and their bromance.
Time For Thomas
Thomas is unable to join The Bachelorette: The Men Tell All in person, but he joins via video call. He tells Katie that his biggest regret is causing Katie to doubt her journey for love. He also apologizes for taking time away from the guys in the house.
Katie apologizes for how she handled sending him home, and the two leave things on a civil note.
The night ends with long-awaited hilarious bloopers, and a teaser at next week’s episode. We will get to see Katie’s hometowns with Blake, Greg, and Justin.
