No matter who holds the mantle of Captain America, the position is held in high regard in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The trials or failures of these heroes show their true colors, with some fun catchphrases along the way.

Here are the best Captain America quotes from every Cap. These quotes will be with you until the end of the line.

“I Can Do This All Day.” – Steve Rogers

Steve Rogers says this iconic Captain America quote in many MCU movies like “Captain America: The First Avenger,” “Captain America: Civil War,” and “Avengers: Endgame.”

The quote exhibits his resilience in a fight. No matter how outmatched, Steve will never back down from a cause he believes in.

“I don’t like bullies. I don’t care where they’re from.” – Steve Rogers

Even before Steve got injected with the super-soldier serum, he had a strong moral compass. Steve first said this quote in “The First Avenger.” His values earned him the position of Captain America, which would give him the upper hand over many bullies.

“I’m with you till the end of the line.” – Steve Rogers

As said by Steve in “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” this quote conveys his strong friendship with Bucky Barnes.

Whether fighting together in WWII or against each other when Bucky was the brainwashed Winter Soldier, Steve stuck by his best friend’s side.

“You want to climb out of the hell you’re in, do the work.” – Sam Wilson

Sam Wilson uses this quote to give Bucky some tough love in “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.”

Throughout the Disney+ series, Bucky is haunted by his actions as the Winter Soldier. He strives to make amends for his misdoings. As Sam points out, the only way for Bucky to move on is to help those he hurt, not just try to make himself feel better.

“For as long as I can remember I just wanted to do what was right. I guess I’m not quite sure what that is anymore. And I thought I could throw myself back in and follow orders, serve. It’s just not the same.” – Steve Rogers

This Captain America quote from “The Winter Soldier” reveals Steve’s inner struggle of being Captain America and a solider of the modern age.

If losing his life back in the 1940s wasn’t enough, Steve continues to have trouble adjusting to a new world. Steve finds that the line between good and evil is often blurred, where enemies aren’t as apparent as the Nazis he fought in WWII.

“The only power I have is that I believe we can do better.” – Sam Wilson

One of the most prominent topics in “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” is the reaction to a black man assuming the mantle of Captain America.

When Sam finally decides to become the star-spangled hero, he knows he will endure controversy from the public. Sam is not a traditionally white superhero and does not have any superpowers like Steve Rogers.

Sam will not let this criticism stop him from doing what is right and working to make a better future for all people. His actions and heart show why Steve chose him to be the next Captain America.

I’ve been a captain before, obviously, but this is different. Everybody in the world expects me to be something. And I don’t wanna fail them.” – John Walker

John Walker may be a controversial figure in the MCU, but this quote shows his insecurity. While John is a qualified soldier, he lacks the heart and goodness of Steve Rogers as Captain America.

Captain America is such an important symbol in the MCU. John stresses as the world wants him to be a replacement for an irreplaceable hero. By the end of “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,” John ultimately succumbs to the pressure of his new role.

“Who needs a plan? I have a shield.” – Peggy Carter

While Howard Stark argued that “a shield is not a plan,” the vibranium disc sure comes in handy. Since Peggy Carter was rushing to save Steve Rogers and stop the Red Skull, she figured she would punch first and ask questions later.

“Avengers Assemble!”- Steve Rogers

This Captain America quote was one of the countless times Marvel fans cheered during “Endgame.” After coming close to saying it in “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” Steve finally said the famous line in full as a battle cry during the final battle with Thanos and his army.
