The Best Five Shows to Marathon-Watch on Amazon Prime

Although often underrated, Amazon Prime has a wealth of Emmy-winning original shows right at your fingertips. However, despite their popularity, many of these series remain unwatched and unappreciated. Admittedly, it can be difficult to find the best TV shows out of the endless options Amazon provides.

Therefore, we have created a guide to some of the best TV shows to marathon on Amazon Prime!

1. “The Boys”

Now, this series is similar to “The Umbrella Academy,” although it’s even more under the radar than that. “The Boys” is set in a world where superheroes exist and are celebrities. The story begins when a normal man witnesses his girlfriend being killed by one of these heroes. This series definitely has some weirdness to it but the intrigue of the world will surely pull you in. This show has two seasons with 8 episodes.

2. “Fleabag”

On the flip side, here’s a series that has become a fan favorite for many. “Fleabag” is a hilarious dramedy about a woman called Fleabag who has an unfortunate life. Of course, this series is jam-packed with awkwardness, hilarity, and a healthy dose of drama. Although, the show can be vulgar so it isn’t for the faint of heart. “Fleabag” has two seasons, each with 6 episodes.

3. “Upload”

More recently, Amazon has put out this new series with a very interesting plot. “Upload” takes place in the future where, when people die, they can be uploaded into a digital heaven. The series follows a young man who dies mysteriously in a car accident and must deal with the consequences of dying before he expected. Don’t be let down though, this show is full of comedy and lightheartedness, despite the themes, sort of like “The Good Place.” “Upload” has one season, 10 episodes.

4. “A Very English Scandal”

Similar to “Mrs. America,” we have another political series on our hands. “A Very English Scandal” tells the true story of a British politician who struggles with his ex-lover who tries to put his political career at risk. Surprisingly, with only three episodes this series remains short and scandalous. Not to mention, it stars British heartthrob, Hugh Grant.

5. “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”

Finally, we have another fan favorite, “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.” This period comedy follows a house wife’s spiraling life in the late 1950s after her husband leaves her. Then, she begins to pursue a career in stand-up comedy after realizing she’s actually pretty good at it. So, what follows is a whirlwind of amazing 1950’s pop culture and hilarious moments from a fantastic leading lady. “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” has three seasons with 8 episodes.
