The Best Spots For Sushi At Disney World Resort In Orlando

Although when you first think of Disney World your first thought might not be of sushi, they actually have a wide variety of sushi that is sure to satisfy your taste buds! 

There may be some great sushi restaurants near Disney World like Seito Sushi and Kabooki Sushi, it can be easier to find your favorite sushi spot in the park to get your next roll.

For those sushi lovers out there, this list features some of the best places to grab some classic rolls that you should add to your itinerary for your next Disney World vacation. 

1. Morimoto Asia

Located in Disney Springs, this signature restaurant serves some of the best sushi with unforgettable pan-Asian cuisine from Japanese iron chef Morimoto.

Morimoto Asia also has locations in Las Vegas, Hollywood, and New York which shows how iconic the food is! Their sushi menu features a large variety of sushi. Like the classic California roll, Spicy Yellowtail, and a Spider roll with soft shell crab.

With each roll coming in at the $16-$20 range, you can get iconic food at a reasonable price. They are also open for both lunch and dinner and have a large variety of Japanese cuisine options. Like ramen, dim sum, and Peking duck so it’s perfect for the whole family! 

2. Tokyo Dining

This top notch Japanese restaurant is conveniently located in the Japan pavilion. It has some of the best sushi in the magic kingdom!

It also has a view of the world showcase lagoon from its main dining room. You can enjoy your great sushi alongside a stunning view. You could also buy two pieces of nigiri instead of a roll. Making it easier for those who might only want sushi for one.

They offer many different sushi rolls. Like a spicy crunchy roll with tempura shrimp crunch, a vegetable roll, a shrimp tempura roll, and an unagi avocado roll. They even have a couple of specialty rolls like the Volcano roll and Hako Rainbow roll with special volcano sauce.

As a warning though, reservations are required to dine at Tokyo Dining. You should book ahead before you visit the theme park

3. California Grill 

California Grill brings a high-class dining experience to Disney’s Contemporary Resort in Lake Buena Vista. Although they have a ton of really good food, their sushi is also perfect to satisfy anyone’s sushi fix.

Their menu typically includes the Crudo Roll with fresh salmon and tuna, the Angry Dragon Roll with shrimp tempura, barbeque eel, and spicy tuna, and the Spicy Kazan Roll with crab shrimp scallops. Their menu can be pretty pricey though and they have a dress code, so if you are looking for a truly elegant experience this is the place!

As of now though, California Grill is serving a special menu in honor of Disney’s 50th Anniversary so you may have to wait a little bit longer to get some of their delicious sushi. 

4. Kona Café

Kona Cafe is one of the popular restaurants in Walt Disney World that has a more casual setting compared to some of the other sushi places on this list.

Located in Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, this restaurant brings an Asian flair to traditional American meals and has a Kona Island Sushi Bar where you can see the sushi chefs at work right next door.

Although they sadly don’t have the Kona sampler anymore, their menu still has some great sushi like a spicy tuna roll with ahi tuna, spicy mayo, and cucumber and a rainbow roll with tuna, salmon, and shrimp.

They also have tuna poke, hamburgers, and dashi bowls on the menu. With other American options besides sushi, this is a great place to go with a group!

5. Kimonos

Kimonos restaurant and lounge in Walt Disney World Swan Hotel has a ton of great sushi options and has the biggest sushi menu on this list.

They have over 15 types of rolls including a Bagel Roll with spicy salmon and cream cheese, a Jalapeño Roll with spicy tuna and yellow tail, an asparagus roll, a dancing eel roll, a Cajun Roll with spicy crawfish, and an Ichiban Roll.

They do have some other special rolls like a coconut shrimp roll and a lobster roll, making this place the perfect go-to for any sushi lover. Some other options on the menu like their signature dish Kobe Beef Tartare. They sort their rolls into raw sushi rolls and cooked ones, making it easy for people to find the perfect roll for them.

Since their menu is mainly sushi though, we wouldn’t recommend going if your whole party doesn’t like sushi. 

6. Splitsville Luxury Lanes

Although a bowling alley might not be the first place you think of when you think of good sushi, this will be one of your kid’s favorite places to go bowling while you enjoy your amazing sushi.

The Splitsville Dining Room has some great appetizers and meals for your kids like nachos, chicken tenders, and pizza. They also have a huge selection of specialty rolls like the Fantasy Roll with fresh salmon, cucumber, and avocado and the Ninja Crunch with Tempura-fried salmon and Kani Kama Krab rolled with fresh salmon and topped with tempura crunch, spicy mayo, and eel sauce.

They even have a location in Downtown Disney for those who are looking for a great place to eat sushi in Disneyland!

7. Katsura Grill

For those looking for a quick-service dining location to grab some sushi, Katsura Grill is the perfect place in Walt Disney World Resort!

They have some of the best iconic sushi rolls like the California Roll, Spicy Roll, and Vegetable Roll. They even have a Tokyo Sushi Combo with four pieces of the California Roll and three pieces of Nigiri, making it perfect for anyone who wants a large serving of sushi! 

8. Teppan Edo

This traditional Teppan-yaki-style restaurant is perfect for those who are wanting dinner and a show. At Teppan Edo, you can have steak, chicken, seafood, and vegetable entrées all made right in front of you by expert chefs.

They have amazing sushi too, with options like the Volcano Roll, the Spicy Roll, and even a Sashimi Platter! 

9. Kabuki Cafe

Located in the Epcot World Showcase, this small cafe features a variety of snacks sure to satisfy your cravings! Kabuki Cafe has some of the best food options and snacks, like Kakigōri or Japanese Shaved Ice and sushi.

They have a spicy tuna roll, California Roll, and even a Nigiri combo with a spicy salmon roll, tuna, and shrimp. Although due to covid, a Disney Dining Plan isn’t available, you can save some money with these rolls coming in at only $6! If you are looking for a cheap snack in between rides, this is the perfect option for you!

10. Takum Tei

Rounding off our list is Takum Tei which is located in Epcot. This upscale restaurant offers a diverse menu of Japanese delicacies, including fresh sushi, Wagyu beef, and duck. With its creative dishes and elegant setting, Takumi Tei is the perfect place to enjoy a meal with friends or family.
