Joan Vassos, a private school administrator, dazzled The Golden Bachelor’s Gerry Turner.
The two hit things off and had undeniable chemistry, which made Joan’s decision to leave that much more shocking!
Joan left the competition to be with her daughter, who had just given birth. After the episode aired, she updated Bachelor Nation via her Instagram Story.
Joan wrote, “A huge thank you to everyone expressing their concern for my family.”
She continued, “It’s a privilege to be a mom to four amazing kids and a grandmother (they call me Jojo) to two beautiful grandchildren. But once a mom, always a mom and sometimes the timing doesn’t work out with finding love.”
Continuing the Journey for Love
Even though Joan’s relationship with Gerry did not get the chance to fully blossom, the 60-year-old is not giving up!
She let her followers know, “Everyone at home is doing great, and I hope one day I will get the chance at love again.”
In another Instagram post, Joan writes, “Family comes first, period. Once a mother, always a mother, I’ll always choose my kids first. Thank you for all of your outpouring love and support, for not only me but also my daughter – everyone is now healthy and happy!”
She also says, “As for me and my journey to love… guess we will have to see where it takes me next. Until then, stay golden.”
While fans of The Golden Bachelor will not get to see any more of Joan, we cannot wait to see how Gerry’s love story unfolds!
