Intern Movie Premiere in NYC
I love any chance I get to visit New York City and when a movie premiere is involved…well I simply can’t say no. I am currently sitting in the hotel lobby with my temporary intern, Teresa. She is sitting on her phone playing with Facebook, sharing memories of our trip and reconnecting with old friends. She is also signed up on twitter and instagram, but tells me Facebook is her favorite.
This contest was so much fun and I was honored to be a part of it. I partnered up with Warner Bros. and played off the movie, The Intern. The winner of my contest was Teresa a retired teacher. After 34 years of teaching she was beyond ready to learn a thing or two about social media. I could not have had a better intern to go on this experience with me.
While we watched The Intern last night we couldn’t believe how similar are experiences had been. It was so fun seeing Anne Hathaway’s character get Robert De Niro’s character set up on Facebook. We were laughing so hard as we had just done the same thing the day before.
The first day we were in New York City we did some exploring and could not resist this photo opportunity. 😉
The next day, we got to really experience the red carpet and had so much fun doing it. Teresa was so cute practicing her pose before we headed into the premiere.
We were able to stand with the press and take pictures as people walked by.
We had a wonderful time on the red carpet and we both LOVED the movie. Plus, I got a selfie with Nev so you know it was a great night. 🙂
If you want to see a movie that will warm your heart, keep you laughing and remind you about the importance of following your dreams this it the movie for you. Warner Bros. Pictures presents, a Waverly Films Production, a Nancy Meyers Film, “The Intern.”
In “The Intern,” De Niro stars as Ben Whittaker, a 70-year-old widower who has discovered that retirement isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Seizing an opportunity to get back in the game, he becomes a senior intern at an online fashion site, founded and run by Jules Ostin (Hathaway). They both did an outstanding job in their roles. De Niro, reminds us all what a quality gentleman looks and acts like. While, Hathaway provides female empowerment and shows the ups and downs of success.
Scheduled for release on September 25, 2015, it will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company. You must go see it. I LOVED everything about it, except one decision the main character makes at the end. Maybe, I’m just not a forgiving person, but I was not happy about it (haha). Go see it and let me know if you can figure out what I’m talking about. 😉
“The Intern” has been rated PG-13 by the MPAA for some suggestive content and brief strong language.
