Go the Distance with The Kissing Booth 2!
For those of you who have seen the Netflix Original The Kissing Booth, you are familiar with the story line and characters. I still giggle and cry while watching this movie. If you have not seen it, here is a quick run down for you.
The Kissing Booth Recap
In this movie, Elle Evans (Joey King, The Kissing Booth and The Act) signs up to work a kissing booth for a school fundraiser. Here, she comes face-to-face (or rather lips-to-lips) with her long-term crush — bad boy/hottie Noah Flynn (Jacob Elordi, Euphoria and 2 Hearts)! Elle and Noah gradually accept their feelings for one another and pursue a romantic relationship.
However, they must keep their relationship a secret from Lee Flynn (Joel Courtney, The Kissing Booth and The Messengers). Elle and Lee have been best friends since birth. And according to their strict best friends rule #9: “Relatives are totally off-limits”. Uh-oh! Just like my favorite cup of coffee, this movie had me feeling some type of way from beginning to end.
The Sequel
In The Kissing Booth 2, Noah Flynn, portrayed by heartthrob Jacob Elordi (The Kissing Booth, Euphoria and 2 Hearts), sets sail for Harvard where temptations await him. Elle is back in Los Angeles embarking on her senior year of high school. The two love birds are now officially a long-distance couple! Elle must now navigate high school with college applications approaching, a long-distance relationship, her relationship with Lee, and potential feelings for a new classmate.
New Cast Members!
Look out Noah Flynn! Make some room for a new heartthrob. Taylor Zakhar Perez joins the cast as Marco, Elle’s new classmate. Elle better watch out, because Maisie Richardson-Sellers is joining the cast as Chloe, Noah‘s Harvard temptation. Jacob Elordi, Joey King, and Joel Courtney reprise their original roles in The Kissing Booth 2.
Will Elle and Noah work through their struggles and stay together? Or, will they go their separate ways? Personally, I have faith that they will make it. I can’t wait to find out on July 24th!
