So what has the fun loving bachelorette been up to since falling in love with her Bachelor, Shawn B.?

Where did you grow up?
A small town called Leduc. It’s in Alberta (Canada)
What was your family like?
We were very close as a family. Did everything together. Lots of love.
Tell me about your first crush?
He was a really cute skateboarder – wore baggy pants, backwards hats and was hilarious. His name was Nathan. He would also dye his hair different colors – seemed like the whole bad boy kind of guy, but wasn’t. He was a sweetheart.
What were you involved in growing up?
Dance, dance and more dance. I was in the dance studio six days a week.
What is your favorite childhood memory?
The times our family spent at our cabin each summer. No hot water, no electricity, no phones. Just our imaginations and each other.
What did you do after high school?
I got a dance scholarship and moved to Vancouver to pursue my passion.
What did you do prior to The Bachelor/The Bachelorette?
I taught spin classes and managed at a restaurant called Cactus Club Cafe. I helped open those around Canada.
What/Who inspired you to go on The Bachelor/TheBachelorette?
My best friend signed me up after a break up. I was supposed to be on Juan Pablo’s season but, thankfully, they held onto my application until Chris’ season.
What would you say the hardest part of The Bachelor/The Bachelorette was for you?
Hurting people’s feelings.
I see that you are good friends with an array of Bachelor alum. What would you say was the best friendship you the show gave you?
Whitney. I love her so much and she is one of my closest friends. I tell her everything.
What was your favorite memory from the show?
Golfing with Shawn.
Was it hard to adjust back to everyday life?
100%. I was hiding a relationship, my life was public, I felt exposed, and I couldn’t just go back to work…
Did your friends or family treat you differently after the show?
Not at all. And that’s why I love them so much.
Do you have any hobbies?
I’m taking voice lessons in Nashville. I’ve always loved to sing. I’m in the right place for it so I’ve started sitting down with song writers.
What is your guilty pleasure?
WINE.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
The Canary Islands.
What is your favorite song right now?
Pink!!! Just like fire. Shawn and I dance to it all the time.
What is your all-time favorite movie?
Happy Gilmore.
What’s your go-to meal?
Salmon and veggies!!!
What’s something everyone should do at least once in their life?
Swim with sharks in Hawaii!! We recently did it and I’m still on a high.
How do you like to relax and wind down after a long day?
A glass of wine and Ellen. I record her every day and she makes me so happy!
What’s a quote or saying you live by?
I’d rather be hated for who I am than liked for someone I’m not.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given?
Do not do things the way everyone else does them. And that life is about balance.
Do you have any advice for the single ladies and gentlemen that may be reading this article?
Own who you are. Don’t try to impress other people. Always work on improving yourself, for yourself.
