Where did you grow up?
Portland, OR
What was your childhood like?
Amazing. I am the oldest of four and love being a big sister. My mom stayed at home with us. My siblings and I fought like any siblings do but we are incredibly close and tight knit which I feel incredibly blessed for.
What were you involved in growing up?
I played a lot of sports. I was kind of a tomboy. I was athletic but never really excelled in sports. I’m pretty sure in 7th grade I weighed 80 pounds so I wasn’t exactly the toughest or strongest.
What is your favorite childhood memory?
Growing up my family had a house in Palm Desert, CA. At the end of each school year we would all pack in the car and road trip down to CA. We would stay down there for about a month to kick off the summer. We would swim all day and play cards by the pool. So many good memories!
It seems you are so close to your sweet family, would you say that family is everything?
Family is definitely everything. They have always been there for me and I constantly find myself asking, “how did I get so lucky?”
What made you decide to be a flight attendant?
I LOVE to travel. I graduated with a Business Degree and got an entry level desk job right after college. I quickly knew that I did not want to sit in an office all day. My mom was a FA before she had kids and loved it and was the one to suggest it to me!
Where is the coolest place you have traveled to?
After graduating college, before applying for jobs, my friend and I backpacked around Europe for 6 weeks. We had NO idea what we were doing but it made it all the more fun. I love Italy and Ireland. I also studied abroad in Hong Kong and am dying to go back.
Let’s talk a little bit about The Bachelor, what inspired you to go on the show?
It was somewhat of a joke at first. Dating in LA was not going that well. I went into the casting office without making a video package thinking if anything it would be a good interview experience. Once cast, I obviously wanted to meet Ben but still didn’t think too much of it. I think I agreed to go on the show thinking it would help me broaden my horizons and force me to put myself out there a little more, which I was not great at doing.
Did you apply or did someone apply for you?
I applied online along with my good friend. Again, it was one of those things that we never in a million years thought we would hear back from.
What would you say was the hardest part of the show for you?
The hardest part of the show was being away from my family, friends, and my job.
I see that you are still very close to many of the Bachelor Nation alum. What would you say was the best friendship the show gave you?
I am very thankful to have Amanda Stanton in my life. She has been my rock through this whole crazy experience. The twins (Haley & Emily) have also been amazing friends and ALWAYS make me feel better if I’m ever having a bad day.
What’s your favorite memory from the show?
Releasing turtles into the ocean.
Favorite funny moment from the show?
When Amanda and I drank too much wine at a Rose Ceremony…
Girls from Ben’s season say that they knew it was you even from night one, did you feel it too?
I didn’t! I think night one is a stretch. Ben and I always had a very natural connection, but I never thought much of it. I guess maybe I didn’t want to get my hopes up?
Once the show was over, what were you most excited to get back to?
My family!!
What’s your favorite thing about your relationship with Ben?
How supportive he is of everything I do.
How did you two decide to do Freeform’s Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After?
It was more of a “let’s try it and see how it goes and if we don’t like it we never have to do it again”. We also wanted to show people what life looks like after the Bachelor.
Now that the shows are both over, what is life like for you now?
Calm. Haha. I am excited to start working on my blog weekly and enjoy life in Denver.
Any new fun projects you’re currently working on?
I have a couple collabs in the works. I’ve always wanted to design a clothing line.. I also am looking into doing some YouTube, mostly for hair and makeup tutorials.
What is your go-to everyday beauty product?
An amazing moisturizer and brow pencil. Oh and highlighter! Shoot I just named three..
Favorite fashion item?
Right now.. blouses with fun sleeves and anything with ruffles!
Chipotle or Qdoba?
Def Doba. I can’t have a burrito without queso.
What is your guilty pleasure?
Pizza!
What’s a quote you live by everyday?
Matthew 6:34 “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
