Top 10 Bachelor Proposals
Every season of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette is hoped to end in a proposal. Not every season does, but those that do are always extravagant and sweet. There are, however, a few that are particularly loving. These are our top 10 bachelor proposals.
Catherine and Sean
On season 17 of The Bachelor, Sean Lowe proposed to Catherine Giudici in Thailand. Catherine had written a letter to Sean expressing her feelings towards him. When Catherine makes her way to Sean, he begins to tell her his feelings for her, he then tells her he wants to spend the rest of his life with her. The best parts of their proposal are Catherine’s face as it is happening, and after Catherine says yes, the two cannot stop telling each other they love each other. Sean and Catherine’s proposal is truly one of the sweetest I have ever watched.
Becca and Garrett
On season 14 of The Bachelorette, Becca Kufrin gives her final rose to Garrett Yrigoyen in the Maldives. As Garrett makes his way to the beach, we hear Becca professing her love for him in tears. Becca stops Garrett during the proposal and explains who Garrett had been to her throughout her journey. She then tells Garrett that she loves him, for the first time. Garrett’s reaction to this is what makes this proposal so great as he embraces Becca in a huge hug. After Garrett proposes the two cannot keep their hands off of each other or the smiles off their faces.
Hannah and Dylan
Hannah and Dylan were engaged in the most recent season of Bachelor in Paradise. After twists and turns in other relationships as well as their own, Dylan finally got down on one knee in Mexico to propose to Hannah. Hannah then explained the pain she had just gone through from her breakup with Colton after just bringing him home to her family. Dylan follows up by surprising Hannah, telling her that they are getting on a plane together that night to go see her family because he cannot wait to meet them.
Jojo and Jordan
On season 12 of The Bachelorette Jordan was the last one standing, as Robby was sent home, Jojo chose him to receive the final rose. Another proposal in Thailand, Jordan meets Jojo on the beach where he begins to express his feelings for her. Jojo’s following reaction to Jordan on one knee is the sweetest part of this proposal as she laughs and cries at the same time.
Ashley I and Jared
Ashley and Jared never actually dated on a “Bachelor” show. The two got together after Ashley had been on Bachelor Winter Games. Jared brought Ashley to Mexico to propose on the Bachelor in Paradise beach, where they first met. All of this was a surprise to Ashley. The pair both shed some tears while explaining their feelings for each other. And after their back and forth relationship, with all of Ashley’s tears, it was sweet that it came full circle.
Desiree and Chris
In the 9th season of The Bachelorette, Desiree Hartsock gave Chris Siegfried her final rose in Antigua. This was after Drew Kenney removed himself from the show. However, in telling Chris he was the final man remaining, Desiree proclaimed Drew leaving was exactly what she needed to realize Chris was the one. In their tears and embracing, the viewer can tell the emotions these two have towards one another. This is one of the most genuine bachelor moments in the whole show.
Lauren and Ben
In the 20th season of The Bachelor, America’s favorite couple Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell got engaged in Jamaica. Before Lauren met Ben on the beach, Ben called Lauren’s dad to ask for his blessing in asking for her hand in marriage. This was an extra detail, not included in the show, for instance, that truly showed Ben’s genuine feelings for Lauren. After the proposal, the pair repeated to each other how they were the other’s “person.” What could be sweeter than that?
Rachel and Bryan
On the 13th season of The Bachelorette, Rachel awarded Bryan with her final rose in Spain. Bryan began his proposal with the same sentence in Spanish that he had said to Rachel on the very first night. As the proposal continues, Rachel explains that she always knew her person would be the one she couldn’t see her life without. Then she then tells Bryan he is this special person. His “I just want to kiss you so bad” as she says “wait!,” followed by his sweet “I am not done I have more to say” set the stage. After that, Rachel’s jumping up and down as Bryan gets down on one knee represents one of the best parts of this proposal.
Jade and Tanner
Jade and Tanner got engaged on the second season of Bachelor in Paradise after hitting it off straight away. As one of Bachelor Nation’s favorite couples, you knew this one would be sweet. Jade’s bright smile the entire time just makes this proposal. Her shaking as Tanner puts on the wrong and his cute “you’re shaking” give it some extra points as well.
Demi and Kristian
The first same-sex couple to get engaged on the show, Demi and Kristian were engaged in the most recent season of Bachelor in Paradise. Kristian’s surprised look as Demi pulls the box from behind the rose stand is one of my favorite bachelor proposal reactions. Kristian also knelt to Demi’s level as she said yes to her proposal, one of the sweetest actions after a bachelor proposal.
