Top 10 Best Characters in Euphoria
Somebody, queue up Labrinth’s “All of Us” because we’re about to talk about the best characters from Euphoria!
Euphoria is a drama series centered around a group of high school students struggling with addiction, sexual insecurities, body image, and trying to find themselves. The show stars Jacob Elordi, Hunter Schafer, as well as Zendaya, who won an Emmy for portraying the lead protagonist Rue Bennett.
One of Euphoria’s strongest selling points is its characters as viewers can’t get enough of their relatability, fashion, and addictive storylines.
Here’s the scoop on the top 10 best characters in Euphoria!
1. Fezco
Fezco has to be one of the sweetest drug dealers ever to be portrayed in television and film history. He is incredibly patient with Rue as her drug addiction spirals and is always there to support her. And we can’t deny how adorable his relationship with Lexi played out in season two, and we’re dying to see where it goes in season three.
He is an interesting character that viewers can sympathize with after they learn his back story and find him likable due to his charming qualities. But if we’re honest, Fezco definitely tops our list for the fact that he gave Nate Jacobs a well-deserved beat down.
2. Lexi Howard
Lexi comes in at number two on our list because she has to be the most relatable character from Euphoria. She doesn’t engage in outlandish activities like her classmates, is the true definition of a loyal friend, and actually dresses like a high school student.
While she started as merely a supporting background character during season one, she really shined through in season two, especially with her play that crushed Nate’s ego.
We’re excited to see how her character develops further in season three!
3. Maddy Perez
Maddy is next on our list as her confidence, straightforwardness, and down-to-earth personality makes her a favorite amongst the Euphoria fanbase. She is set up as the queen bee character on the show but doesn’t act like one. The queen bee is usually the ‘mean girl’ at school, but Maddy seems to treat everyone equally and is really sweet.
Another reason why we love Maddy is for her trendy style. Her style is a staple piece with her character, and everyone is constantly recreating her looks on TikTok and YouTube.
And we can’t wait to see what she wears next season!
4. Ali
Ali ranks high on our list because he is the only person that always calls Rue out on her crap. He is Rue’s sponsor and sort of serves as a father figure for her. So, when she threw his past struggles in his face, it was hard to watch. However, Ali proved he was a strong individual and truly cared about Rue when he continued to help Rue on her path to sobriety after everything that transpired.
5. Ashtray
Next on the list is the child whose face is riddled with tattoos and someone who is hands down the most loyal.
This past season Ashtray has been a joy to watch. We learn more about his and Fezco’s backstories which helps viewers understand his fierce loyalty and how a kid became partners with a drug dealer. His ride or die nature with Fezco is why we love him and why he is on this list!
6. Ethan
Ethan is one of the nicest guys at Euphoria High who throughout season one was vying for Kat’s heart. He ended up winning her over, but things weren’t so happily ever after during season two which led to the couple’s break up. However, Ethan didn’t let this heartbreak bring him down as he stole the show in Lexi’s iconic play. And his performance as Nate Jacob’s is a good enough reason to place him at six.
We look forward to seeing his character continue to blossom in season three!
7. Rue Bennett
Rue serves as the main character in Euphoria. Her character is highly flawed, but she still has this likability that we just love to watch. Could we love her solely because she is so imperfect? Perhaps.
Viewers like to root for troubled heroes and want to see them succeed. Which is what we all hope for with Rue. She is a character with depth that really makes the story end, which is why Rue made the list.
Granted, she is played by Zendaya, and who doesn’t like Zendaya?
8. Kat Hernandez
The next character has one of the most fascinating storylines on the show, Kat. She has become a beacon for body positivity and expressing one’s sexuality. While no one is recommending some of Kat’s choices she made to express herself, we have to acknowledge how cool it is to see her totally owning it! And even though Kat has been sidelined to being Maddy’s sidekick, she is definitely one of the show’s best characters.
Hopefully next season we see more of her!
9. Jules Vaughn
Jules is a very fun-loving character, even though she can sometimes come across as selfish. She means well. And one of the reasons why she made our list is because she is unapologetically herself. Something that a lot of people aspire to be. And one of the reasons why our main character likes her so much.
10. Gia Bennett
The last character on our list is someone who can be seen peeking around a corner looking stressed or worried about their sibling. This character can only be Rue’s young sister, Gia, who often looks sad or upset due to Rue’s drug use. The poor girl is always a second thought, and the audience can’t help but feel bad for her.
Gia’s selflessness and love for her sister make her a compelling character to watch, and one that you hope doesn’t follow the same path as her big sister.
