Collateral is a four-part thriller that takes place in London over four days. At the beginning of the show, a shooting of a young pizza delivery man occurs in South London. This situation quickly escalates when DI Kip Glaspie discovers that the pizza manager inexplicably sent Syrian refugee Abdullah Asif instead of the regular delivery driver. The entire show runs through the investigation. If you are looking for something to keep you on your toes, this is your pick.
3. Chilling Adventures of Sabrina
This show is the re-creation of Sabrina the Teenage Witch. It has been reformed into a dark coming-of-age story. In this series, Sabrina is half-human and half-witch. She is also desperately trying to step out of her evil life and as the story unfolds. This one’s for the horror lovers!
4. Firefly Lane
Firefly Lane is one of my recent personal favorites. It is a boundless story of two inseparable best friends and their journey through the ups and downs of life spanning 4 intense decades. A fair warning: The ending is very sad and depressing. I would suggest keeping a box of facial tissues nearby if you decide to watch it.
The show follows Daphne Bridgerton, the eldest daughter of the Bridgerton family. The entire season takes us through the journey of her getting married and trying to understand and fulfill her duties as the dutchess. She begins to learn a lot about married life, starting a family, and being a mother. We also get to see how Daphne’s romantic life gets spicy as the season progresses. You’ll find all the drama, action, and romance you’re looking for!
6. Never Have I Ever
Never Have I Ever is a coming-of-age story about the complicated life of a first-generation Indian American teenage girl. Devi (played by Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) is an overachieving high school sophomore who wants to bring some drastic changes in her life. She makes some gutsy moves which then take her in different directions. Witness Devi trying to put together a new life for herself and all her realizations along this journey.
7. The Umbrella Academy
The Umbrella Academy is a superhero streaming television series based on the comic book written by Gerard Way. The show revolves around a family of superhero siblings who reunite to solve the mystery of their father’s death and the threat of an apocalypse. This will keep you on your toes for sure!
8. On My Block
On My Block is a teen comedy-drama television series that consists of 3 seasons. It is the story of four bright and street-savvy friends navigating their way through the triumph, pain, and newness of high-school set in the rough inner city. Prep yourself before you start watching because you are about to binge!
9. Dash & Lily
Dash & Lily is a romantic comedy series created based on the young series Dash & Lily’s book of dares by David Levithan and Rachel Cohn. A whirlwind Holiday romance builds as cynical Dash and optimistic Lily trade dares, dreams, and desires in the notebook they pass back and forth at locations all across New York City. Lost in Space is a sci-fi television series which originally aired between 1965 and 1968.
