Top 5 Character Meet & Greets at Disney World

Whether you’re meeting a princess or a mouse, every character meet and greet is always unique and special. Disney World does a fantastic job of bringing these characters to life with their world famous magic. It’s like you experience a little bit of magic yourself. Here are my Top 5 favorite characters to meet!

(Disney)

#1 Belle

(Disney)

If you’re a fan of royalty, Belle is a great pick! She’s humble, smart, beautiful and kind, and always wants to chat about books. She’s definitely a favorite out of the princess meet and greets! Meet her at the France Pavilion in Epcot, Cinderella’s Royal Table in Magic Kingdom, Akershus Royal Banquet Hall at the Norway Pavilion in Epcot, or at Enchanted Tales with Belle in Magic Kingdom!

#2 Fantasmic Mickey

Going to Disney World and meeting Mickey Mouse himself can be so magical! If you’re a fan of fantasmic in Hollywood Studios, hop on over and meet Mickey in his imagination hat! There are four main locations Mickey and Minnie Mouse meet together, one in each park— in their celebration outfits at Magic Kingdom, in their classic outfits at Epcot, in their Safari gear in Animal Kingdom, and in their fantasmic clothes at Hollywood Studios. Fantasmic is definitely my favorite!

#3 Step Sisters

In the mood for a good laugh? These stepsisters will give it to you! Their main meeting locations are behind Cinderella’s castle in the morning at Magic Kingdom and 1900 park fare at the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. They never hesitate to say ‘the pleasure’s all yours!’ when you say goodbye!

If meeting Cinderella’s stepmother and stepsisters is not enough ‘evil’ for you, check out our Disney World’s Villains After Hours post to get a taste of what mingling with Disney Villains feels like.

#4 Sadness and Joy

(Disney)

These two meet and greet in Epcot, right across from Minnie, Mickey and Goofy! The contrast in their dynamic is so entertaining, and encourages you that it is okay to be both happy and sad! Baymax also meets in the room over and is another excellent meet and greet experience if you have the time.

#5 Fairy Godmother

Jolly, gentle and encouraging, this Godmother will make you feel like a princess or prince! She is a great character to meet when you’re feeling down. She has a certain comfort to her presence that is contagious! Meet her behind Cinderella’s castle in the morning at Magic Kingdom, where she will trade off with the stepsisters. It’s a great two for one deal!

The Bottom Line

Overall, I really encourage you to not skip meeting characters at Disney! You might feel awkward or shy at first, but the characters will do a wonderful job at making you feel at ease and making you feel loved. It is a very special experience that is so unique to Disney and should not be missed. Hope everyone is having a magical day!
