The movie “Cats” is now in theaters, and we’ve got the scoop on the most playful and fun quotes from the movie. Some of my favorite actors and singers (Taylor Swift, Rebel Wilson, Jennifer Hudson, and James Corden) are starring in it, so, of course, I had to see it. And I loved it! The colorful scenery and charismatic cats made the movie so unique and very fun to watch. As each cat is introduced, you get a song explaining their special personalities. With music, magic, and dancing, you will never be bored.

Now, here are some of the most playful quotes throughout the movie!

“Do you think he just got neutered? Because those notes are really high.”

There are so many clever jokes throughout “Cats” that incorporate the theme. As Rum Tum Tugger introduces himself, Jennyanydot makes fun of how high pitched he’s singing.

“Oh my, you look starving, you can’t attend the ball on an empty stomach!”

As the cat who loves to eat digs through a huge trashcan, he tells the abandoned house cat, Victoria, that she must eat more. The trashcan falls over and old food spills out for everyone to eat.

“He wants to be reborn as a skinny cat so he can eat until he’s fat again.”

Another cat explains to Victoria that the one who pushed over the trashcan only cares about eating, which is true for many cats in real life! I will admit, though, that fat cats are usually the cutest cats.

“And the family will say it’s that horrible cat!”

This scene reminded me of “Tom and Jerry.” As two cats take Victoria through an open window into a large house, they drape rings and necklaces all over her. They knock over vases, tear up pillows and take the blankets off the bed! Anyone with a pet can probably relate to this scene…

“The memories were lost so long ago, but at least you have beautiful ghosts.”

Although this was a bit more serious, it was still very uplifting. Victoria finds Grizabella, the outcast cat. She used to be apart of the group of cats but betrayed them. Grizabella has spent years reminiscing on her memories with all the others, and Victoria shows her that she has to stay positive.

“Don’t mess with the crazy cat lady!

As Jennyanydot fights off Macavity’s crew, she makes them regret their decision to lock her up. Even though she is clumsy, she can definitely put up a fight.

“How would you address a cat?”

After we meet all the cats and discover their personalities, the leader asks us this. She demonstrates that you should bow down and say “cat.” And she says that even if cats don’t like being too familiar, they still like you.
