1. The Mandalorian
Starring Pedro Pascal and co-directed by Bryce Dallas Howard, this ten-episode series sparked Baby Yoda’s rise to fame. Exclusive to Disney Plus, this series has a 93% average audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. If you’re a fan of the Star Wars franchise, or even if you’re not, give this action-packed series a try.
2. High School Musical: The Musical: The Series
High School Musical: The Musical: The Series takes the beloved High School Musical franchise in a whole new direction. Filmed in the same high school as the original three movies, this series follows the experiences of Nini (Olivia Rodrigo) and Ricky (Joshua Bassett) as they prepare to play Gabriela and Troy in East High’s on-stage production of High School Musical.

3. The Simpsons
Recently, Disney acquired ownership of this series in its deal with 21st Century Fox back in 2019. The Simpsons is the longest-running primetime comedy series and the longest-running primetime animated series in the United States. Therefore, there’s no doubt that Disney was happy to add The Simpsons to its library of shows on Disney Plus. If you haven’t seen the series, give it a chance. If you have, enjoy reliving all of the hilarious moments throughout the 31 seasons.
4. Wizards of Waverly Place
Selena Gomez, one of Instagram’s most-followed users, got her big break on this Disney Channel sitcom. Wizards of Waverly Place combines the humor and lightheartedness of a typical Disney Channel series with the same magical fantasy vibe found in the Harry Potter franchise. The theme song from this series was used as inspiration by Billie Eilish when she was writing her hit song, Bad Guy.
5. Marvel’s Agent Carter
Hayley Atwell stars as Peggy Carter in this two-season series. Marvel’s Agent Carter is a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and plays off of the character’s role in Captain America: The First Avenger. Atwell was nominated for a Saturn Award in the category of Best Actress on Television for her work in this series. For those that want to see a strong female lead in a Marvel production, then this series is worth a watch.
6. Boy Meets World
If you enjoy watching characters grow up on a show, then there is no better show for you than Boy Meets World. Bring on the nostalgia as you watch Cory and Topanga fall in love throughout the seven seasons. Actors Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel are also featured in the show’s spin-off, Girl Meets World.
7. The Suite Life of Zack and Cody
You might recognize Cole Sprouse from the CW network’s hit series, Riverdale, but he got his start alongside his twin brother Dylan on this Disney Channel sitcom. This series was so successful that it earned its own spin-off series, The Suite Life on Deck, which is also streaming on Disney Plus. Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, and Ashely Tisdale make appearances throughout the series, so keep a lookout for them!
8. Diary of a Future President
This ten-episode series is about a middle schooler, Elena, who dreams of becoming president. It’s refreshing to see a family show that encourages kids to dream big and work hard young. The show is presented in a humorous way that most audiences will enjoy.
9. Dog Whisperer
Hold on to your leashes, because Disney Plus has your canine fix covered. This one goes out to all the animal lovers out there. Watch as Cesar Millan trains troublesome dogs in this Emmy-nominated series. If you are looking for a heartwarming reality show, then the Dog Whisperer is for you.
10. Star Wars: The Clone Wars
Last but not least, we recommend Star Wars: The Clone Wars. This animated series first aired in 2008 and lasted for six seasons until the last episode aired in 2014. Six years later, Disney made the first episode of season seven available on February 21, 2020. New episodes will be released on Disney Plus every week until the conclusion of this 12-episode series. Critic Robert Lloyd from the Los Angeles Times writes, “Watching Yoda take apart a squad of tanks with his little lightsaber is just as much fun as it’s supposed to be.”
