In 2013, Zendaya published a book titled Between U and Me: How to Rock Your Tween Years with Style and Confidence. How many people can say they were published authors before their eighteenth birthday? But what’s even cooler is that she used her platform to inspire young girls.

2) Zendaya is an Ambassador for Convoy of Hope

Convoy of Hope is a nonprofit organization that provides food, supplies, and humanitarian services to needy people around the globe. Since 2012, Zendaya has been working alongside the organization. And she continues to promote Convoy of Hope through social media advocacy and other venues.

3) She’s Proud of Her Heritage

In this video, Z for Zendaya, by, I Am An Immigrant, the actress describes how she is proud of her African and German heritage. “I’m proud of the fact I know where I’m from,” she continues, “It’s just so important that I teach other young people to be aware of who they are.”

Zendaya released a clothing line with Tommy Hilfiger in 2019. The cute, vintage-inspired collection is entitled TOMMY X ZENDAYA. What’s more, it includes sizes from 2-22!

5) Zendaya Does Her Own Stunts

In the award-winning film, The Greatest Showman, Zendaya plays Anne Wheeler, a trapeze artist in Barnum’s circus. Although she did not go into the film with any trapeze experience, she tried to film as many of the stunts as she could on her own.

6) She Knows How to Stand-up to Bullies

When Zendaya’s beautiful dreadlock hairstyle was criticized by Fashion Police’s, Giuliana Rancic, she took the opportunity to spread positivity. In an interview with Elle magazine, Zendaya reveals that working on Euphoria caused her great deals of anxiety. Because of the stigmas surrounding mental health, it takes a lot of bravery to open up about one’s struggles. Obviously, opening up is harder when the whole world is watching. It’s important for celebrities to speak up to help break the stigma attached to anxiety. After all, it is something that almost everyone deals with at one point or another.

9) Zendaya Was a Producer at 16

Zendaya worked as a producer on the Disney Channel series, K.C. Undercover. Additionally, she acted in the series as the protagonist, K.C. Cooper a karate-loving, teenage spy. At any rate, it’s impressive for a young teenager to take control of her career and not be afraid to try new things.
