Travel Guide For A Girls Weekend In Conejo Valley #VisitConejoValley
Have you been putting off your next girls’ trip? Whether you are planning a girl’s trip or a bachelorette party I have the best location for you to explore and relax. If you’re undecided about where to go then I have the perfect destination for you, Conejo Valley, CA. There is so much to choose from to do at your stay in Conejo Valley. First, you’ll need to pick the perfect hotel. I chose to stay at the Homewood Suites at Agoura Hills (you can read all about my stay here), next choose your activities, and then enjoy your stay.
Start your day off right
Enjoy a full hot breakfast at your hotel, Homewood Suites, offered daily 6:30AM-9:30AM. Enjoy eggs, bacon, sausage, fresh fruit, yogurt, toast, waffles, and so much more, including coffee and hot teas. You could also walk next door Jinky’s Kanan Café, or the Wildflour Café just a short walk away. Both restaurants offer unique dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Girls’ Spa Day
We started off our day with gel manicures and pedicures at Nail Blvd. It was very relaxing and they had several choices of gel polish and regular polish whichever you desire. Their entire staff was extremely friendly and welcoming and we left looking fabulous.
Next we continued our spa day at Nirvana Day Spa where we received 60 minute massages. They were very reasonably priced and the massage was incredible. My masseuse was wonderful she found all of my stress points in my body and helped me release my stress and relax even more.
Then we enjoyed a very relaxing Himalayan Salt Session at Halo Salt Spa. It was like nothing else I’ve experienced before. They were diffusing oils throughout the salon, which smelled pleasant and the lighting was very soft and soothing. After we checked in we were lead into the Salt Room. When she opened the door it looked like snow had fallen everywhere, but it was the Himalayan Salt completely covering the floor.
There were salt crystals on the ceiling as well as the floor. The salt diffuser was blowing a gentle breeze of salts through the room. We walked through the salt with our bare feet and sat in lounge chairs like a beach lounger and laid back. Your first session is 45 minutes long and for first time customers it was free when I attended. Relaxation music was playing in the background as we relaxed absorbing our salts.
Quality time with friends
There is so much to do in the Conejo Valley. We went to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum. I really enjoyed wandering around, reading, and viewing items from President Reagan’s life before, during, and after his presidency. My two favorite things to see were replica of the Oval Office and Air Force One. We got to walk through the Oval Office and it looked just like his in Washington, D.C. I love history so this was a very neat experience. The location of the Presidential Library is set at the top of a mountain top, the scenery was breathtaking, very peaceful and tranquil. Fun fact for you: the Reagan’s matron of honor and best man were Ardis and William Holden, and they were also their only guests at the wedding.
We also decided to enjoy some hiking from the surrounding areas. One place we went to was the Paramount Ranch where there is several choices of trails, some went as far as the Santa Monica Mountains. The Paramount Ranch is also the backdrop of many Western sets such as Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman, X-Files, the Bachelor and Bachelorette, CSI, and hundreds more shows and movies. Here are some additional hiking areas at Conejo Valley Trails.
Life is so busy sometimes it’s hard to find the time to go to the movies. It’s another great way to spend girl time. There are several theaters around the area. However, I decided to check out the Regency 8 Stadium Screen at Agoura Hills. We ended up seeing A Star is Born with Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga. It was great. If you haven’t seen it you should check it out.
We ate at some nearby restaurants, Island Burgers which had different kinds of grilled meats to choose from and tropical sides. We sampled their pineapple ice cream. Another place was The Habit Burger Grill. which made delicious steak burgers, onion rings, sweet potato fries, shakes, malts, and much more. I got a veggie burger and a vanilla shake, Stacie got a steak burger and a chocolate malt. There are so many more wonderful choices of local restaurants to explore.
If I haven’t convinced you yet to come visit Conejo Valley maybe you’ll be interested in some local wine tastings. Take the afternoon easy and wander to a couple rolling vineyards for wine tasting. Visit DeLiese Cellars to try varieties from various regions of California or stop by Cornell Winery for a charming atmosphere to sip on wines from Central Coast Mountains. Or even go on a jungle safari. Take a walk on the wild side of Conejo Valley with an unforgettable experience at Malibu Wine Safaris. Tour their ranch located in Malibu and get wild with llamas, zebras and the famous, Stanley the Giraffe. The rolling vineyards surrounding you make the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable gal-pal experience.
We were there during the fall season, and we decided to check out a local pumpkin patch for something fun to do to set the stage for Halloween and fall decorations.
My visit was so much and seriously the BEST girls weekend!! Conejo Valley would make a wonderful destination for family, friends or even a couple getaway.
