Age of Adaline NYC Premiere

I got back just a few days ago from a quick and busy trip to New York City for the Age of Adaline movie premiere.  I was lucky enough to get to bring my mom along the journey with me and we had the very best time.  We arrived in New York on Saturday and the premiere wasn’t until Sunday evening so we had some time to explore the city.  Seriously, this is the city full of adventure.

We had a car pick us up at the airport.  Never in my life have a I had a man in a tuxedo pick me up holding a sign with my name on it.  I had no choice, but to snap a picture. 😉  Our driver was great.  He use to work in movies and television.  He told us about how he was a on a soap opera for a few years.  I love how people in New York have such fun and interesting backgrounds.

We stayed at the Empire Hotel.  I had been dreaming about staying here since I attended Fashion Week in the fall.  It’s right across the stress from Lincoln Center.  It was super close to Central Park and we walked to Times Square about a mile away for dinner.

We had a great day exploring the city.  The next day was the day of the premiere.  Before the movie we did more city exploring, so much to see and so much to do in New York!! Then we headed to the premiere.

I loved the movie.  The Age of Adaline was just as good as I expected.   I love a good romance movie and this one did not let me down.  The fashion through the years was so fun to watch and the entire cast did a wonderful job portraying the story.

After the movie, my mom and I headed to the after party.  It was there that Blake Lively and I became best friends and Michiel Huisman and I fell in love…haha okay not really on either of those, but I did meet them and they were great.

We did a little more mingling and then headed back to the Empire hotel.  It was such a great trip and I am so thankful for the opportunity.  Any questions about the movie? Leave me a comment below.  I’ll also be sharing my TV segment from BetterKC soon, where I share even more details about the movie and the fashion through the decades.
