True Love This Time? 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way Jenny and Summit Recap
I know what you’re thinking, “how many 90 Day Fiancé spinoffs are there??”. There are currently nine shows connected to 90 Day Fiancé, including TLC’s 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way. Season one introduced us to Jenny and Summit’s rollercoaster love story and now they are back for season two. Here is a recap of Jenny and Summit’s love story on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way.
Jenny and Summit’s Beginning
Jenny met Summit on Facebook while he was pretending to be Michael Jones. Summit, 32 years-old, catfished Jenny, 61 years-old, because he was worried she would not like him because he was Indian. Though they eventually had a Skype call and Jenny said he was cute. After that, they fell in love and Jenny went over to visit him. Jenny got an Indian visa and packed her life up to move from California to India to marry Summit.
Jenny’s First Move
Jenny flew to India and then Summit, two hours late, picked her up to take her to their new apartment. He had to move out of his parents house and tell them he was moving for a job position. His parents knew he loved Jenny but did not approve of the couple so they hid in a different town from his family. Because of this, Summit bought Jenny some traditional Indian clothes and worked extra shifts to pay for their expenses.
Jenny’s daughter and her wife came to visit and expressed their concerns about his family not knowing about Jenny. They were worried about Summit telling his family about Jenny and them saying no or Summit never telling them but them finding out a different way. They are concerned Jenny will be left abandoned in India with no money.
One day the producers were called to see Jenny at the apartment and their fear came true. Summit’s family came to the apartment, revealed he was married and then took him away. Jenny was left alone in India, unable to work. She was able to get a flight back to the United States and Summit was able to talk to the producers in order to explain that he was involved in an unhappy arranged marriage. He was in the process of getting a divorce when Jenny arrived. His family does not want him to contact Jenny anymore, but he did not stop.
Jenny and Summit’s Second Move
However, this season on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, Jenny reveals that she is moving back to India. She had been living on her daughter’s couch. Summit has divorced his wife and claims his family knows that Jenny is coming back. They are still not happy about the age difference though and they moved two hours away from his family into an old home. But after a twenty-six hour flight, Jenny and Summit arrived at the house and had a traditional Indian housewarming party.
Summit plans to marry Jenny. But fans are torn about whether Jenny and Summit are in love or not, but everyone wishes them the best. Nonetheless, fans are excited to see their story continue on TLC’s 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season two.
