Kansas City Welcomes The Future of Cars at the KC Car Show

Kansas City get excited to visit the Kansas City Auto Show and Welcome to the Future Car Show to check out a multitude of high tech cars from various dealers. The cars with feature advanced technology like park assist and automatic emergency braking. Keep an eye out for the luxurious Mercedes GLE, Sleek Jeep Patriot, and much more.

For Car Shoppers

First, you will be able to jump inside, take it for a little test drive, and ask any question you might have. A perfect way for car loves to learn more or feel the waters for anyone searching for a new car without the pressure of car dealership. For those shopping for a car, there will be hundreds of cars like hybrids, SUVs, or convertibles so you a destined to find one perfect for you.

If you fancy a Toyota you can take a Camry, Highlander, RAV4, and Tacoma for a test drive on Wednesday 5-9 p.m.; Thursday and Friday 10 a.m.- p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m.-7 p.m.; Sunday 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Any Volkswagon that catches your eye will be available for a test drive Thursday & Friday 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.; Saturday; Sunday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Vintage Vehicles

Visit the Kansas City Welcome to the Future Car Show to see not only technological savvy cars, there will also be a vintage vehicle exhibit displaying cars from the 50s, 60s, and 70s. This way you can embrace the best cars of the past while preparing and researching the cars of the future.

Men in Black Sunglasses Giveaway

On Saturday, March 9 Men in Black: International sunglasses will be given away to the first 250 people who visit the Children’s Mercy table.  No donation is needed.

Kid Festivities

Elite Comics will be at the auto show and will host several cosplayers.  Elite will be raising money for their Children’s Mercy Toy Drive.  You and your family can get FREE pics with the cosplayers.

There will even be a  Paradise Park Kids Korner where kids can play on inflatables and enjoy cute quick crafts. Some kids, that aren’t scared of robots, can even say talk to Maxx the giant robot. It’s perfect for the whole family. Also, the author of Go Cars Go will be at the auto show for a book signing AND will give away 500 books per day!

Additionally, visit the Kansas City Welcome to the Future Car Show to see Defensive Lineman Chris Jones for any car fans that are also die-hard Cheif fans. Or any kids that want an autograph to show off at the next show and tell.

Tickets and Times

The festival is located in Bartle Hall in Downtown Kansas City and there will be free parking at the Liberty parking with a shuttle to and from the the festival.

Tickets are $12 for adults $6 for kids 8-12 and kids seven and under are free. The times are listed below:

  • 5 p.m. – 10 p.m. Wednesday
  • 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday
  • 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Sunday
