Walmart Now Offers InHome Grocery Delivery

As you know by now I am a huge fan of Walmart and love the fact that the company is always on a mission to come up with new ideas that make life easier for its customers. I am so excited to share their newest service. Walmart recently launched a new grocery delivery service designed to help save time and money by delivering groceries straight into your home. InHome lets you place your order via Walmart’s grocery app and then you can select the delivery day.  The Walmart associate will bring your groceries in special packs designed to keep your grocery items safe and cool, without excess packaging. So, no boxes, paper, or plastic bags to deal with. 

InHome Locations

Walmart picked Kansas City to be one of the first cities to launch the program, which is great for me. 😉  There are 9 Walmart associates in the Kansas City area that have been trained and background checked to delivery your groceries. InHome is now available in three cities in the United States, Kansas City, Pittsburg and Vero Beach.

Give The Gift of InHome

With InHome being available in Kansas City, I decided to give my parents an early holiday gift and sign them up for Walmart InHome. Every year my parents host Thanksgiving and as a way to make things a little easier on them, I decided to get InHome installed in their home before the holidays. To be honest, they were a little skeptical at first about what I was doing, but after I walked them through it and they placed their first order they are absolutely amazed with the service.

With Walmart InHome, you can get high quality, fresh groceries delivered straight from our store into your fridge. InHome groceries are only delivered by a trained and background checked Walmart Associate. This system makes a great gift idea for any homeowners on your list. It’s creative, convenient and thoughtful!

When it comes to the people who are actually coming into your home, you don’t have to worry! Each InHome associate has worked in one of the Walmart stores for at least a year and Walmart personally selects them for their hard work and dedication.  To ensure that the selected InHome associate can be trusted in your home, Walmart runs four different background checks on each associate to confirm their confidence. They also go through training specifically for the InHome service.

When they actually come into your home to deliver your order you don’t have to be home, but you can be. Either way, the InHome associate will live stream each delivery from the moment they unlock your door until they lock your door while leaving so you can see exactly what happens while they deliver your groceries to your fridge.

And if that wasn’t enough to put your mind at ease. InHome also insures your house against any possible incidents up to $1 million. These associates are truly there to make things easier on the customers and want to do their best to make you happy!Walmart’s InHome service wants to assure you that everything will go smoothly.

Once you’ve decided the program is for you. The first step is having your lock installed. You can have your groceries delivered to your kitchen fridge or your garage fridge.  The installation is free! If your groceries are going to be delivered to your garage fridge, Walmart has come up with an innovative smart garage door opener to get inside. Walmart will install a Level Lock inside your existing deadbolt so there will be no need to change your keys. 

The Level Lock is a first-of-its-kind device that fits invisibly inside your existing deadbolt lock, that way there is no keypad or external hardware that changes the look of your door. The Level Lock is powered by super-secure Bluetooth technology. With this new technology, you can get your InHome delivery and have a keyless lifestyle, all from one very smart lock.  You can even use the locks in your everyday life, opening and closing your garage door through the InHome app.

Membership

Walmart has a single membership tier, which includes everything InHome offers (groceries, household basics and, soon, returns), with much more on the way. There are no contracts and you can cancel at any time!  The service is $19.95 a month. You will get unlimited deliveries as long as each order is at least $30 before taxes. You will get a one-time charge for the Level Lock or the GoControl Smart Garage Door Controller that is $49.95.

Sign Up & Save

To sign up, you will click “Now available in these cities” to see if InHome delivery is available in your area. If you are eligible, select your delivery location, sign up for Walmart InHome membership and schedule your installation of the Level Lock or the GoControl Smart Garage Door Controller. Once you have had your installation, you’ll be able to place InHome orders via Grocery.Walmart.com.  Then you can start ordering, sit back and let your groceries be delivered right to your home!
