We Are Your Friends Chicago Screening #WAYF
One of my favorite things about blogging is the opportunity I get to go on some incredible trips. Last week, I went to Chicago (seriously, love that city) for the Chicago screening of “We Are Your Friends.”
“We Are Your Friends,” tells the story of Cole Carter (Zac Efron) who dreams of hitting it big time as a Hollywood disc jockey, spending his days and nights hanging with buddies and working on the one track that will set the world on fire. Opportunity comes knocking when he meets James Reed, a charismatic DJ who takes the 23-year-old under his wing. Soon, his seemingly clear path to success gets complicated when he starts falling for his mentor’s girlfriend, jeopardizing his new friendship and the future he seems destined to fulfill.
It is directed by Max Joseph. Who else is a huge Cat Fish fan? (Hey Nev, if Max goes off to direct another movie, call me up and I’ll help you with the show. 😉 ). But, seriously his directing skills in this movie are amazing. I felt like I was actually at the club with them.
After we sat down in the theater and were getting ready for the show to start we got one pretty amazing surprise…yep, the stars of the movie came out and gave us a great little intro before the movie started!! (Zac, is just as attractive as you’d imagine 😉 ).
Check out this video of Max giving us a little opener. 🙂 They were all so passionate and excited about the movie. It definitely gave us the vibe that this was something they were all extremely proud of.
Check out this entrance from Max Joseph Zac Efron and Emily Ratajkowski at the Chicago screening of We Are Your Friends.
After the movie, I headed to the after party. It was so much fun.
We Are You Friends hits theaters on August 28. I highly suggest you go see the movie and let me know your thoughts. Make sure you stay all the way past the credits, there is something that happens at the very very very end that you will want to see. 🙂
Disclosure: Travel and accommodations were supplied. However, all opinions are my own.
It was so awesome meeting you and getting to hang out in Chicago with you!
