Summer is in full swing and August is one of the hottest months of the year. For most people, this means having light clothes on your Disney packing list that will keep you cool and comfortable in the summer heat. However, if you’re going to Disney World during this time, there are a few things to consider.

Disney World in August

The first thing to think about is the weather to prepare for your Disney experience. In August, the average temperature is around 90 degrees Fahrenheit. This means that it’s likely to be just a little bit hot (especially in central Florida) and humid during your visit and during park hours.

The best option is to be sure to pack light clothing (like a pair of shorts or a tank top) made from breathable materials like cotton or linen. You’ll also want to put sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses to protect yourself from the sun in your park bag.

If you’re visiting in the end of August, there’s a chance that there will be cooler temperatures. However, it’s still important to pack light and airy clothes and even a light jacket or long sleeves, just in case.

When it comes to shoes, sandals or flip-flops are the best option and best shoes for walking down places like main street or the indoor attractions, even the water rides and water parks. You’ll want something that will keep your feet cool and comfortable all day long. In terms of most comfortable walking shoes, a good option would be a light sneaker.

When it comes to choosing the right tops to wear to Disney World in August (from personal experiences in the Disney World theme parks), we highly recommend bringing a lightweight variety of clothing for this magical place on hot days.

You will definitely want to keep cool, so a great idea is to bring at least one tank top. Also, you will want to protect your shoulders from the Florida sun. To do this, you may also want to bring a lightweight t-shirt or light jacket. Packing a sun hat for long lines is also a good idea (annual passholders know this).

Another thing to consider is the humidity. If you’re visiting during a time when it’s especially humid, you may want to consider bringing a dress or skirt with comfortable shoes. During the hottest months, this will help you stay cool and comfortable while walking around the Disney parks like Magic Kingdom or enjoying things like the Disney Skyliner.

Finally, if you’re visiting in August, there is a good chance of rain. We recommend bringing at least one poncho or raincoat with you on your trip or one for everyone in the whole family. If you’re visiting in October for the Disney After Hours Boo Bash, to see your favorite characters or a scary Halloween party, then you won’t need to worry about the hotter days at any Walt Disney World resort.

Bottoms to Wear to Disney World

When visiting Disney World in August or on any Disney trip, choosing your bottoms is very important when you want to have a great time, and everyone has their own personal preferance. The best times for Florida residents to go to Disney is in the summer months, and the important thing to remember is wearing loose bottoms for high humidity weather and warm weather. We highly recommend bringing at least one pair of shorts and one pair of pants along with face coverings or face masks if the park requires it.

Shorts are perfect for hot, humid weather. They’re also great for when you need to move quickly, as they’re easy to take on and off. We recommend opting for a light-colored pair of shorts that will help reflect the sun’s rays.

Pants are a great choice for days when it’s not quite as hot or humid. They can also provide some protection against the rain. We recommend choosing a loose-fitting pant with an elastic waistband, so that you’ll be able to move easily and comfortably.

Also, if you plan to go out to dinner some night on your trip, you may want to bring a nice pair of slacks or jeans to wear, or when you go to a wine festival.

If you’re visiting in August, there’s also a good chance of rain. So, it’s a good idea to bring a long poncho or raincoat with you on your trip. This will help keep your pants dry.

Animal Kingdom

The Animal Kingdom is the newest park at Disney World, and it’s also the largest. It is home to hundreds of animals, including lions, tigers, and elephants. You can visit areas like Africa, Asia, and DinoLand USA.

This park is perfect for families with children, as it offers a variety of attractions that are both entertaining and educational.

You can also ride some thrilling roller coasters like Flight of Passage and Kali River Rapids.

In Animal Kingdom, you can also meet some of your favorite characters like Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Rafiki, and Baloo!

There are also a few great places to eat in Animal Kingdom. Our favorites are Flame Tree Barbecue and Yak & Yeti Local Foods Cafe.
