Columbus Day weekend tends to be a popular weekend for the happiest place on earth. The Halloween and 50th anniversary events are winding down, but there are other special events to look forward to. It’s an added bonus to kick off the holiday season at Disney with festive decor, seasonal treats and characters dressed in their holiday best.

Before we get into the actual Walt Disney World vacation, let’s talk about the important things to remember when planning and packing. Here’s the scoop on what to wear to Disney World in November.

What to Wear to Disney World in November

Disney World is located in Orlando, Florida. The weather this time of the year tends to be warm and dry. The warm weather and few rain falls of this month makes it a good option for visiting the magical place. The historical averages for Orlando in November show 78 degrees fahrenheit during the day and 59 degrees fahrenheit at night.

The average high is perfect for a good day at any theme park. There are approximately 3 days of rain in November so you should be safe from witnessing a torrential downpour. It still doesn’t hurt to pack a light rain jacket and small umbrella just in case the forecast calls for potentially rainy days.

Although the weather is relatively consistent throughout November in Orlando, it would be your best option to check the weather for the time of your visit.

Disney World is a fun and exciting place to dress for. Speaking from personal experiences, checking dress codes and regulations for Disney is ideal before your trip. The Walt Disney World Property Rules explains more on what is and is not allowed in the park. Make sure you check the list of prohibited items and bag size requirements.

The Disney World property is obviously extremely large. This makes for lots of moving and walking around. Wearing comfortable shoes and clothes is a must! It’s always a good option to pack your favorite pair of tennis shoes, sneakers or everyday shoes when exploring amusement parks.

The weather is still warm enough to wear walking sandals if that’s what you prefer. Don’t forget flip flops if you plan to visit the water parks during their park hours. Keep in mind that you will experience cooler temperatures in the evening.

Tops to Wear at Disney World

The summer months are obviously filled with hot days, perfect for cooling tank tops, shorts, bathing suits and flip flops. November is still nice out, but slightly cooler weather is to be expected. This makes short sleeved shirts a perfect option.

The short sleeves will keep you comfortable during the day and keep your shoulders safe from the intense Florida sun. Consider packing long-sleeved shirts, a light sweater or light jacket for those chilly nights. If you tend to get cold easily, a long-sleeved shirt might be ideal.

Regardless what type of shirt you decide to wear, it’s always a fun option to have it be Disney themed or have your favorite character on it!

Bottoms to Wear at Disney World

Deciding on what pants to wear for Disney World is not the easiest choice. Do you want to wear shorts, pants, leggings, a dress? We’ve come up with plenty of ideas to figure out what’s best for you.

The weather is still pretty warm out. Meaning if you seem to always be hot, shorts are probably the best bet. Biker shorts are an easy choice to keep cool and still look cute. They can be paired with your favorite Disney shirt and a jacket or sweater if you’re getting chilly.

Leggings are a good option for everyone. You’re bound to stay comfortable throughout the day of exploring the park. Leggings can be breathable enough to keep you cool during the day, but also will keep your legs covered at night. Capri leggings are perfect for those who can’t make up their mind.

Long pants, such as jeans, are good to pack just in case. Jeans are ideal for when the weather cools down at night or if your trip to Disney is set on a cloudy day. Jeans are amazing to pair with any outfit. Mom and boyfriend jeans are in style for every occasion right now. Jeans might not be the most comfortable choice for everyone, but they look good with nearly everything.

It’s definitely a personal preference for the style of shirt, shoes and pants you want to wear. We just recommend keeping it comfy at the happiest place on Earth!

Comfortable clothing doesn’t mean you can’t make it fashionable. A loose knit sweater and jean jackets are perfect for when the temperature drops at night. The jackets and sweaters can be kept in your park bag or tied around your waist when it isn’t being worn. An oversized Disney sweatshirt or zip-up makes for a cute night time outfit as well. If rain is a possibility when you’re at Disney, wear a rain jacket and make it a fashion statement.

As you are walking down Main Street in Magic Kingdom park and getting your picture taken on the different rides, it’s fun to show off your Disney outfits. This is an unforgettable experience, making it important to feel comfortable and confident in your favorite Disney attire.

Accessories for Disney World

Packing your park bag properly for the Disney World trip is crucial. It’s important to have all the necessities as you roam the different parks. If you plan on purchasing souvenirs remember to save room in your bag for those.

For people with young children, a backpack or easily carryable bag is ideal to fit all the essentials for both you and the whole family. Some essentials include chapstick, sunscreen, face coverings, a first aid kit and hand sanitizer.

We didn’t forget to remind you of all the other essentials too! Make sure to have these and all your favorite things on your packing list. Disney World allows guests to bring in a reusable water bottle, as long as it’s not glass. Considering the Florida heat, deodorant is smart to carry with you. A hat or sunglasses will most definitely be vital on sunny days.

For those who prefer to travel light, a fanny pack or small purse is a better option. Just be sure you can fit everything you need beforehand.

As for the more fun accessories, the possibilities are endless! Don’t forget to pack your favorite unique Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse ear headband. Or buy a new pair when arriving at the park. If you aren’t much of a headband person, a hat with the Mickey ears or Minnie bow is a fun alternative.

Jewelry always adds to an outfit, but be careful with it at the amusement parks. You wouldn’t want any important jewelry to get damaged or lost.
