But, don’t worry, Disneyland Park has plenty more to offer even after the halloween time period. November is the perfect time to visit Disneyland as it gives you the opportunity to experience bits and pieces of all the seasonal holidays.

Here’s the scoop on what to wear to Disneyland in November to ensure you have the best time at their theme parks!

Planning Your Disneyland Trip

The fall and winter months of the year are a big deal to the guests and staff at any of Disney parks. Considering all the seasonal events, I would suggest checking out the Disneyland Crowd Calendar. The Crowd Forecast Calendar provides accurate information as to how busy Disney is expected to be for each day. The information is based on the events held, the tickets bought and more.

A Disneyland Live Crowd Tracker is available giving consistent updates on crowd levels and how busy the parks are and average wait times for the different rides. The park hours and different time periods throughout the day are important things to keep in mind on the crowding on the parks.

The Disneyland Resort and Parks have an outstanding calendar filled with events from the beginning of autumn following through late December. There will be the opportunity to see new attractions or visit your favorite long time attractions.

Whether it’s your first time visiting the happiest place on Earth or your one-hundredth time visiting, there’s always something new to see and explore. The holiday season is filled with halloween parties, parades, Thanksgiving food at finer dining resort options, Dapper Day and more.

Obviously, it’s extremely important to check what the weather forecast is looking like for the time you are going. However, it’s crucial to be prepared for the weather to change or vary. This means be ready for hot days, rainy season and cold weather. Anaheim, California, the location of Disneyland, tends to be in the 70s on sunny days and in the 50s in the evening in November. It would be a good idea to arrange your outfit accordingly for both.

Wearing comfortable clothing to any of the Disney parks should be a top priority. There will be plenty of walking and moving around during your Disneyland visit. Comfortable shoes are a must, which doesn’t mean they can’t be fashionable. Be sure to pack your favorite pair of tennis shoes or sneakers, as they always are a great option when exploring the amusement parks. Walking sandals is another choice if that’s what’s comfortable for you.

What Tops to Wear in Disneyland

It can be expected for daytime temperatures to be consistently around the mid to low 70s during November, even during the hottest hours of the day. The sun is a big factor in the California weather, pack a sun hat or sunglasses to be safe.

Tank tops are perfect for the summer months, but a short-sleeved t-shirt or a lightweight jacket will be perfect for this time of year. A light jacket can be tied around the waist or put into your park bag when they aren’t needed. Long sleeved shirts are also a great option if you tend to get cold easily.

Experiencing the happiest place on Earth at night time is an unforgettable time. As you walk down Main Street all the lights, bright colors, stores and restaurants will come to life in a different way than earlier in the day. However, it’s important to keep in mind that the temperatures will drop.

A jacket will be beneficial to keep you comfortable. Soft jackets are often a go-to. Jean jackets are a more stylish option, but still practical to remain warm. Don’t forget to check the park hours to see how late you can stay at the magical place.

Comfortable jeans are a classic option to turn to when picking out any outfit. Not to mention, jeans can pair perfectly with nearly anything. If you want to go a more comfy route, soft leggings or athletic pants are another good option. Leggings are convenient to dress up or make casual. Early November is the perfect time to pull out your long pants and style them for your Disneyland events.

While rain isn’t particularly common in this part of California and a grand majority of southern California, especially during the month of November, it never hurts to be prepared. Bringing a small umbrella, rain jacket or poncho for the potential rainy days is a good idea.

Due to the changing weather and colder climate in November, the water parks are primarily closed. Normally, one water park is open during the month of November, but that is subject to change according to the weather. If water parks and rides are important to your itinerary, spring break or summer time months might be a better option due to these being the warmer months.

Water rides are still available during this time. The water rides at Disneyland include Splash Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, Grizzly River Run, Davy Crockett’s Explorer Canoes, “it’s a small world,” Jungle Cruise, Mark Twain Riverboat, Matterhorn Bobsleds, Sailing Ship Columbia and Storybook Land Canal Boats.

If you’re interested in riding water rides, consider wearing or bringing flip flops to keep your shoes and feet dry and comfortable. If tennis shoes or other shoes are your first choice, bring an extra pair of socks to prevent walking around in dampness the rest of the day.

Disneyland Must-Haves

Of course thinking about outfits depending on the weather is important, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have fun and be creative. Using your time at Disney to be unique and express yourself is just one way to have a great time.

The fall and winter months are the time to pull out your darker colors and add some edge to your style. By the time Thanksgiving weekend and the rest of the winter months roll around everyone will be heading towards pulling out their colder seasonal clothing.

Spending a day or more in Disney means you’ll be working up quite an appetite. Luckily, Disneyland has some notorious places to eat and drink. Dole Whip is a legendary frozen pineapple treat available at the Tiki Juice Bar. Alien Pizza Planet is another iconic dining location based off of the Toy Story movies. Plaza Inn is the only restaurant in the park that does character dining, meaning you can see the characters at certain meal times. There are plenty of carts around the park as well to grab a snack at, such as Mickey Mouse shaped pretzels.

Dapper Day is a notorious event that Disney hosts. The event began in 2011 to allow people to “step out in style.” The point is for everyone to showcase their best looks while celebrating their own personalities. There’s no right or wrong way to dress for Dapper Day, whether it be a vintage look or a contemporary look or anywhere in between. Dapper Day at Disneyland in 2021 will take place the weekend of November 13-14. There is no best option of what to wear for Dapper Day, that’s up for you to decide.
