Moving into November, the month of the year in the middle of major holidays, there’s all kinds of special events to look forward to. Disneyland will be finishing up their halloween season events, including the Haunted Mansion Holiday and Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween party.

This means be ready for hot days, rainy season and cold weather. Anaheim, California, the location of Disneyland, tends to be in the 70s on sunny days and in the 50s in the evening in November. It would be a good idea to arrange your outfit accordingly for both.

Wearing comfortable clothing to any of the Disney parks should be a top priority. There will be plenty of walking and moving around during your Disneyland visit. Comfortable shoes are a must, which doesn’t mean they can’t be fashionable. Be sure to pack your favorite pair of tennis shoes or sneakers, as they always are a great option when exploring the amusement parks. Walking sandals is another choice if that’s what’s comfortable for you.

It can be expected for daytime temperatures to be consistently around the mid to low 70s during November, even during the hottest hours of the day. The sun is a big factor in the California weather, pack a sun hat or sunglasses to be safe.

Tank tops are perfect for the summer months, but a short-sleeved t-shirt or a lightweight jacket will be perfect for this time of year. A light jacket can be tied around the waist or put into your park bag when they aren’t needed. Long sleeved shirts are also a great option if you tend to get cold easily. 

Experiencing the happiest place on Earth at night time is an unforgettable time. As you walk down Main Street all the lights, bright colors, stores and restaurants will come to life in a different way than earlier in the day. However, it’s important to keep in mind that the temperatures will drop.

A jacket will be beneficial to keep you comfortable. Soft jackets are often a go-to. Jean jackets are a more stylish option, but still practical to remain warm. Don’t forget to check the park hours to see how late you can stay at the magical place.

Comfortable jeans are a classic option to turn to when picking out any outfit. Not to mention, jeans can pair perfectly with nearly anything. Due to the changing weather and colder climate in November, the water parks are primarily closed. Normally, one water park is open during the month of November, but that is subject to change according to the weather. If water parks and rides are important to your itinerary, spring break or summer time months might be a better option due to these being the warmer months.

If you’re interested in riding water rides, consider wearing or bringing flip flops to keep your shoes and feet dry and comfortable. If tennis shoes or other shoes are your first choice, bring an extra pair of socks to prevent walking around in dampness the rest of the day.

Disneyland is currently not allowing for the characters to sign autographs. However, Disney is known to do parades and shows throughout the day. Parades give you the opportunity to see and meet some of your favorite Disney characters. The good news is the parades at Disneyland Resort are opening November 12, 2021. Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, also known as Star Wars land, is another fun location to visit on your trip. The Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is located in the Disneyland Park. This section is filled with plenty of Star Wars attractions. There are exciting rides located here, including Millenium Falcon: Smugglers Run and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. Rides aren’t the only Star Wars themed attractions. There’s different shops such as Savi’s Workshop – Handbuilt Lightsabers and Droid Depot. Or you can grab a snack at the Milk Stand or Ronto Roasters.

Disneyland is fun for all ages and has plenty of options for everyone to have a good time. For those who are 21 years of age or older, there are different drinking options around Disneyland. Drinks can be purchased in Downtown Disney, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Disney California Adventure and three of the resort hotels. If you are visiting Disney World, Epcot has a “Drinking Around the World” option, which allows you to try different drinks in different countries. There is even a food and wine festival held in the spring!

Things to Do in Disneyland

Spending a day or more in Disney means you’ll be working up quite an appetite. Luckily, Disneyland has some notorious places to eat and drink. Dole Whip is a legendary frozen pineapple treat available at the Tiki Juice Bar. Alien Pizza Planet is another iconic dining location based off of the Toy Story movies. Plaza Inn is the only restaurant in the park that does character dining, meaning you can see the characters at certain meal times. There are plenty of carts around the park as well to grab a snack at, such as Mickey Mouse shaped pretzels.

Dapper Day is a notorious event that Disney hosts. The event began in 2011 to allow people to “step out in style.” The point is for everyone to showcase their best looks while celebrating their own personalities. There’s no right or wrong way to dress for Dapper Day, whether it be a vintage look or a contemporary look or anywhere in between. Dapper Day at Disneyland in 2021 will take place the weekend of November 13-14. There is no best option of what to wear for Dapper Day, that’s up for you to decide.

Also, the firework shows at Disney are at the top of most Disney goers list. The firework shows start around 9:30 and approximately last about 10 minutes. The firework shows are popular for their amazing firework displays, magical music and even surprise appearances from classic Disney characters.
