Ingredients
1 cup self-rising flour
4 ounces of cream cheese, softened
1 spoonful of baking soda
Water
Optional: Toppings
Powdered Sugar
Salt
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, combine the self-rising flour and cream cheese until a crumbly dough forms. If they won't combine, add a splash of milk to help the dough form.
Spread the dough onto a clean, flour-dusted surface. Use your hands to knead the dough. Roll the dough into a large ball.
Cut the ball into 4 sections. Roll each of the sections into a long rope-like strip. Using a knife, slice the strip into about 5-6 small pieces.
Boil a cup of water in a saucepan. Add about a spoonful of baking soda to it. Carefully, add each of the pretzel bite dough pieces into the saucepan for just a few seconds. Remove quickly and place onto the baking sheet.
Cook at 400 F for about 10 minutes, or until it's slightly gold-brown and crispy.
