Simple Peach Cobbler

Ingredients

  • 2 - 3 cups peaches
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 2 cups flourĀ 
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups milkĀ 

Instructions

    1. First, prepare the peaches. I used fresh peaches so I had to score the bottoms, blanch in boiling water for 3-5 minutes, and then soak in an ice bath before I could remove the skin and slice.
    2. Next, preheat oven to 350. Place 1 stick of butter in baking dish and place in oven to melt, about 5 minutes.
    3. Then, combine 2 cups each flour, sugar, and milk.
    4. Pour this mixture over the melted butter in your baking dish.
    5. Finally, pour over peaches. Do not completely mix in peaches, just make sure they are evenly dispersed.
    6. Bake at 350 for 45 - 60 minutes checking often.

Notes

If using fresh peaches you may want to coat the slices in 1 tablespoon of sugar and let them sit in the fridge for 30 minutes to an hour.
