Yappem: The App & Party ReCap

Recently, I had the chance to try out Yappem. It is a super fun social media application. You communicate and share how you feel about brands and products. Yappem is a social media platform where people can share their experiences — good or bad – about products, brands and places and earn real world rewards like gift cards to major retailers!

I signed up and have had so much fun using it. My first expereince with Yappem was actually at the Yappem party I was able to attend last week. It was called, “The Awesome Party” and let me tell you, it was AWESOME!

I tested out the Yappem app by completing missions at the party. It is super easy to use and so much fun. You can tag your favorite brands and complete missions that you choose. I did the #fashion, #foodie and #candy. However, I am on my way to complete even more missions. You can follow me on yappem @sarahscoop.

Here’s how Yappem works:

Users creatively post to the feed their own brand and product experiences, good or bad, and earn virtual Yappem Coins. The feed posting category options are:

Experience: Share your experience, related to brands, products and people.
Suggestion: Offer an idea or advice to a brand or your followers.
Support: Ask your followers and the brand community for help.
Compare: Compare two products or brands side-by-side to get input.

I also like how you can join different communities that relate to your interest. It is a great way to connect with others and also find people that are discussing the same brands you are interested in.

Plus, as an added bonus you can earn gift cards for sharing your opinions, completing missions, etc. It’s like a fun game where you earn points and can cash them in. I haven’t cashed out for a gift card yet, but I am on my way.

Yappem really put on a great party last week. Here are a few pictures that I snapped while I was there. It was located at the beautiful Crystal Gardens at the Navy Pier. The location was amazing. My sister went with me and we had such a great time. We learned more about Yappem and connected with some great people. The food and entertainment were also fabulous.
