How To Make Your Instagram Look Better

Instagram is a minefield of photography, models, chefs, and amazing feeds to scroll through every day. It is normal to feel lost when trying to set up your Instagram to look incredible, professional, and perform well all at once.

There is a reason now that social media management is a full-time job, it can take a lot of time and a lot of work. Instagram is one of those apps where people can earn money on their posts with how creative they are, the quality they offer, and the audience they can get out to.

One of the best and quickest ways to grow your Instagram is to have a niche, one of two topics that you regularly post about. For example, one of the main niches for Mrs. Hinch is cleaning. So if you want to follow someone for cleaning tips and advice on making your home look amazing then you will follow her.

In line with this, it is also best to have most of your images edited the same way so it looks like your Instagram account has a theme running through it. A nice flow and similar colors which when looked at as a whole is aesthetically pleasing. This can encourage people to follow you instantly. So, going back to Mrs. Hinch you will notice that her account has clear images that generally have quite a neutral background.

A good way to get started is to have a preset or saved editing step on how you are going to edit each image you post. You can use an app on your phone like A Colour Story which lets you edit, buy pre-made edits, and then save your editing steps at the result.

Then the next time you go on the app to edit another image all you need to do is go on to the ‘saved’ section and the editing set you saved from last time is there and in one click it will instantly be applied to that image. Depending on the darkness you may need to brighten the images but they tend to show up looking almost the same editing style.

Another way to make your Instagram account stand out and look better is by having something different, whether that is only having black and white images or a white frame on Instagram. These will make your accounts stand out from other accounts in the niche you post on. They will also show off your creative and artistic flair.

Being able to look at and plan your posts on Instagram is a great way to get a feel for how it will look as you plan to post over the next few days or weeks. If you have your content planned and edited then all you need to do is see how it will look when posted.

You can use an app like preview where you can upload the images you want to post and see how they look as a whole view on the grid when someone clicks on your profile. It may be that when looking at it from a different view you want to change some posts around. If you do a mix of food and parenting you don’t want 3 food posts in a row as it might look better with them alternating to break up the feed.

Not only do you want to be editing all of your grid images the same way but try and keep the theme going in the Instagram stories that you post. People will then be able to notice the images and stories are yours before even seeing your handle.

Another way to up your Instagram story game is by having some different templates that you use for posting. Canva is a great option to use for that. It has so many premade templates for quizzes, promoting new posts, and engaging with your audience through the questions and polls features that are available on the app.

There are so many other great apps that you can use to help your Instagram look better and grow better. There are also so many different photo editing apps depending on your knowledge and expertise in the area. You can use ones like Lightroom, VSCO, and Photoshop fix which all offer different aspects. To find the one that best suits you and add it into your posting regime.

So there’s are few things to try to help make your Instagram look better and more professional from planning, following a theme, and how you edit.
